CORE SYSTEM UPGRADE

Decorah and Cresco Bank & Trust is transitioning to a new core banking system at the end of October. That’s the equivalent to a kitchen remodel or trading in your vehicle for a new model. This upgrade in technology will allow us to deliver best-in-class security, convenience and efficiency, all culminating in a better experience for our customers.

What You Need to Know

While most of the changes will happen behind the scenes and will require little to no action from you, there will be some brief disruptions in service October 20-24, 2022. If you use the Quickbooks/Quicken integration via Online Banking, action is required; details below. Here’s what you need to know regarding this upgrade:

 

Service Disruption - October 20 - October 24, 2022

Online Banking Not Available - Customers will not be able to access online banking via browser or the app during the service disruption, beginning at 4:45pm on October 20th. Account balances will not update during this time. Once the service disruption is complete, account balances will update accordingly; deposits will be recorded prior to any withdrawals that are posted to your account during this disruption timeframe. Online banking is estimated to resume service no later than midday, Monday, October 24.

Drive-Thru Locations Closed - Saturday, October 22, drive-thru locations will be closed. Please plan ahead for any weekend banking needs.

Debit/ATM Cards - At 3pm Thursday, October 20th, all debit/ATM cards will experience an outage for approximately 15 minutes. Over the weekend, you can withdraw cash and use your card as normal (up to your daily limit), however, account balance information will not be updated during this time and could therefore be inaccurate. Any transaction information will be posted to your account following the service disruption (we expect by midday, Monday, October 24) reflecting all activity that took place during the outage period.

Quickbooks/Quicken Users - Two action steps are required to ensure a smooth transition with the technology upgrade. Please complete the steps outlined here by October 19 and after October 26 respectively.

Transfers & Payments - Previously scheduled transfers, loan payments and bill payments will process as scheduled.

Statement Details - You will receive an extra statement with the information and images, if applicable, from your last statement date through October 20th and again on the date in which you would normally receive a statement. Your statements will be formatted differently going forward but contain all the same information.

During the service disruption, we will have Decorah and Cresco Bank team members available to assist in your banking needs. Throughout the core conversion process, we will have staff available to answer any questions you may have. Phone and email support hours are as follows:

• Friday, October 21 – 7am - 7pm

• Saturday, October 22 – 8am - 5pm 

• Sunday, October 23 – 10am - 4pm

• Monday, October 24 – open normal business hours
