Oneota Valley Literary Foundation (OVLF) and Decorah Bank & Trust are excited to partner together to promote financial literacy in the local community. Through a grant, OVLF has acquired 94 copies of Priceless Facts About Money by Mellody Hobson, an engaging children’s book that has become a nationwide favorite, recognized as one of Oprah’s Favorite Things of 2024 and a New York Times bestseller. With facts, historical insights, and playful illustrations, the book provides a unique resource for kids to build essential financial skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Decorah Bank & Trust is committed to investing in the next generation by equipping them with knowledge they’ll carry for a lifetime. As part of this educational effort, Decorah Bank & Trust will provide a complimentary copy of a Middle School Personal Finance Workbook, designed to help students learn sound money management habits.

The Oneota Valley Literary Foundation, known for promoting literacy and providing access to valuable resources, identified Priceless Facts About Money as a powerful tool to teach children about financial concepts in an engaging way.
