Decorah Bank & Trust Announces the Retirement of Mike Huinker After 32 Years of Service

Decorah Bank & Trust is honored to celebrate the remarkable career of Mike Huinker, who is retiring after 32 years of service as a trusted Mortgage Lender. Throughout his tenure, Mike has been a guiding presence in the community, playing a vital role in supporting countless home purchases, construction and renovation projects while building lasting relationships with customers and neighbors alike. His dedication and expertise have left a lasting impact on the Decorah community.

To celebrate Mike's incredible career and contributions, the community is invited to a retirement party on January 31st from 4-6pm in the Decorah Bank lobby. Guests will enjoy appetizers and beverages while sharing memories and wishing Mike the very best in his next chapter.

Mike’s influence extends far beyond his professional achievements. He has been an active and committed member of the Decorah community, currently serving as Co-President of the Decorah Rotary, Vice President of the WMC Foundation Board and former President of Trails of Winneshiek (which produced the Trout Run Trail). These roles reflect his dedication to creating a stronger, more connected community, while his work at the bank has been fueled by his passion for building strong relationships with customers and helping them accomplish their homeownership dreams.

Looking ahead, Mike is excited to spend more time on the golf course, traveling, and enjoying moments with his family and grandchildren. He also plans to stay active in the community that has meant so much to him over the years.
