Decorah Bank Ranked Top 20 Agriculture Lender in the US!
Decorah and Cresco Bank & Trust earns prestigious recognition from Independent Community Bankers of America for their commitment to agriculture and rural communities.
Decorah and Cresco Bank & Trust, a community-focused financial institution dedicated to serving the specialized needs of their customers, has been named a Top Agriculture Lender by the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA). The bank secured a national ranking as the 19th best agriculture lender in the $300 million to $1 billion in assets category, based on 2022 Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) data.
"We are honored to be recognized as a Top Ag Lender," said Ben Grimstad, Decorah Bank & Trust CEO. "At Decorah Bank, agriculture is at the heart of what we do. We are deeply committed to supporting farmers, their families, and the ag-affiliated businesses in our communities.”
To rank the financial institutions, ICBA developed a lender score that combines lending concentration and loan growth over the past year, as well as adjusts for charge-offs in each lending category. The top score a bank could receive was 100. Banks across the country were reviewed and the top 20 in each of three asset size categories were named.
Decorah and Cresco Bank & Trust is a partner to farmers and related businesses of all kinds, providing financial services and guidance in managing their operations successfully. This national recognition underscores the bank's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and ensuring the ongoing economic prosperity of rural communities.
